Hello my crafty friends!  It is time for another designers challenge. This month, the theme is  G-G-G-Ghost!

For my card, I decided to use the Katherine Label Pop-Up.  Following Karen's great video tutorial, I created a window in my card.

On the inside, the Halloween scene is revealed.  I used dies from Halloween Scene and Halloween Elements die sets.

Be sure to check out what the other designers have come up with.

Hello my crafty friends!

Today I would like to share with you a craft project that I created primarily  using Karen Burniston dies and a few thing that I had in my craft room.

A while ago, I made an explosion box card for one of my co-workers. It was very well received and she was so excited to have a project like this. I decided to recreate it but this time using KB dies. I love how it turned out.

I have used a papers from Graphic 45. The box on top is using a My Favorite Things bow die.

Once the box is opened, the dimensional cake inside is revealed. The sentiment inside is from the Karen Burniston Word Set 2 Die.

Here is a close of photo if the cake. The flowers were made from The Flower Pot Pop Up die set except for the roses which were from La La Land Crafts. The leaves were a combination of dies from the Flow Pot Pop Up and a leaf die from La La Land crafts. The cake was crated using circles from the Snowman Twist Circle die and the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch. Here is a close up photo of the cake.

Although this is a birthday cake, it could easily be used for a wedding cake, etc,  I am looking forward to trying to use more dies outside of their "intended" purpose.

The Karen Burniston 1st Designers Challenge

Hello everyone! I have some exciting things to share with you today. As many of you know, the very lovely and talented Karen Burniston has launched her own line of interactive dies. .These new dies are wafer thin and can be easily moved around on your card/ project. You are not limited to a card size or design. Do you want the pop up a little more to the top or to the bottom?? Do you want an A2 or A6?// You can do that with these dies!

Today is our very 1st challenge for the Karen Burniston Designers Challenge. The the was "Your Signature Style".  So for my card, I went with Roses and Flowers. I love Making them and these dies make a big WOW.

The front of the card is very simple and elegnt.

But on the inside is where the magic happens. As you can see, the card folds down flat.

And when you open it up ... BAM!  I flower pot pops up. I just love this dies. It is really one of my favs for pop up and flat card.

Make sure that you stop by some of the other team member blogs to check out their "Signature Style".  Tomorrow, check out Karen's Blog to see her project for the challenge.

Paper Pros Blooming Challenge.

Hi all! It's time again for the Paper Pros monthly challenge. This month's challenge is Spring and was chosen by the wonderfully talented Karen Aiken. We were to use spring blooms and butterflies. For my card, I have chosen to use blooms.

I used the Flowing Dogwood collection from Heartfelt Creations. The sentiment was stamped on die cuts from the Anita Frames.  This card design is an adaptation of an earlier card that I made and taught at my local scrapbook store.

I really enjoyed making this card and loved being able to show my students how to take one technique or design and use it in other ways.

Hydrangea Bloom And Dogwood Clusters Easter Card

Hello my crafty friends!

Today I am bringing you a card that I created using the new Flowering Dogwood collection from Heartfelt Creations.

I have always loved the Dogwood tree ever since I was a little girl. When I saw the sneak peek of the collection, I immediately called my local scrapbook store and pre-ordered it.

Here is my card:

Instructions
Make a card base measuring 5" by 7" from pink cardstock. Cut a 4 ¾” x 6 ¾” layer from Pattern paper and layer onto the pink cardstock.

Cut the border die out of white cardstock. Rotate the die and cut on the opposite side of the white cardstock.  Using the outer edge of the coordinating die, cut the patterned paper so that when layered with the white piece, it will be offset. Adhere the two pieces together and attach with foam tape.

Stamp the Dogwood flower on Vellum with Versamark ink. Apply a mixture of the White Embossing Power and Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. Cut out with the Coordinating dies. Ink the edges with Archival Plum and Memento Elderberry inks. Stamp the Dogwood leave with Cottage Ivy Memento Ink. Using sponge daubers, color the leave with New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink. Stamp the Berry Blossoms in Lulu Lavender Ink, color with Hydrangea Ink using sponge daubers, and cut with coordinating die. Stamp the Botanical Rose leaves with Cottage Ivy Memento Ink. Using sponge daubers, color the leaves with New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink.

Cut out the sentiment from the Flowering Dogwood paper collection and layer to a piece of patterned paper from the same paper used to layer with the Regal Borders and Pockets die. Tie a double bow with sheer ribbon. Assemble the card as shown

We are shaking things up!

Howdy my crafty friends!!

I know that it has been a while since I posted. I needed some time to reflect and get my creative juices flowing again.

Since my time has ended with Elizabeth Crafts as a designer, my friends and I have gotten together and decided to do some challenges on our own. This month, we decided to do a "shaking" challenge. The project can be a shaker card, action wobbler, anything that will "shake" things up.

Since Valentines day is today, I decided to my a shaker card for my hubby.

For my card, I used the Pop It Up Cup Pop Stand die for cut out my window. The background and sentiment uses the Heartfelt Creations Coffee talk stamps and dies along with The Perfect Blend stamp set.

Make sure you stop by and check out the blogs of my friends that are playing along
